Patrick Tuttle is a respected leader in the Australian residential mortgage and consumer lending market, and within the broader financial services and securitisation industries. As Co-Group CEO, Patrick is responsible for all aspects of the Pepper Group's Australian, European and Asian consumer lending and loan servicing activities, including the development of the Group's short and long term strategic direction in collaboration with his Co-Group CEO (Mike Culhane), creating and implementing the Group's business plan and achieving targeted profitability.
Patrick is CEO for Pepper's Australian operating business, and the country heads responsible for Pepper's European and Asian businesses, located in London, Dublin, Shannon, Madrid and Seoul also report directly to him in his capacity as Co-Group CEO. He is also Co-Chairman of Pepper Group's Global Executive Committee.
Patrick is a capital markets and financial services specialist with extensive experience in Australian mortgage-backed securities and securitisation programs. Joining Pepper as CFO from Macquarie Bank in 2001, Patrick has also been the driving force behind Pepper's mortgage-backed securities ("PRS") programme, which has issued in excess of A$4.4 billion in Australian prime and non-conforming mortgage-backed securities since 2003. He is a Chartered Accountant and has been a Board Member of the Australian Securitisation Forum, Inc. since 2004, Deputy Chairman of the Australian Securitisation Forum since 2008 and the Co-Chair of the ASF Government and Industry Liaison Committee since 2010.
Mike Culhane founded Pepper in 2001. From 2001 to 2011, Mike chaired the Pepper Board as well as founding and running Oakwood Global Finance LLP, now part of Pepper UK, which was one of the largest specialists in purchasing and managing residential mortgage loans in the UK.
Prior to founding Oakwood, Mike served as the Executive Chairman of Future Mortgages and the CEO of the European subsidiary of FBR, a US-based, NASDAQ-traded, investment bank.
Mike is responsible for all aspects of company performance, including the development of the company's short and long term strategic direction in collaboration with the Board of Directors, setting corporate objectives, establishing corporate policies and procedures, creating and implementing the business plan and achieving targeted profitability.
Group Chief Risk Officer
Tim is responsible for the leadership of Pepper's enterprise-wide risk management function. Tim has twenty years of international experience in risk management, operations and finance and has lived and worked in the United Kingdom, Canada, Bermuda, Switzerland and the United States.
Prior to joining Pepper Tim was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of a privately held investment advisory firm. Previously Tim ran the risk management group for a Global Reinsurance Company listed on the NYSE and was the Group Chief Risk Officer for a global multi-strategy offshore hedge fund. Earlier, Tim held a number of senior risk management positions at HSBC. Tim possesses a wide breadth of experience across different sectors of the financial service industry working for both large and entrepreneurial firms.
